The following links contain the latest update files as well as the full versions of BluefishRx. You will also find the user manual, desktop data import tools and a windows desktop emulator. If you would like to trial a module that you haven't licensed you can download that module here and install the trial module over the top of your current installation without effecting your patient or Rx data. All updates should be installed over the top of your current installation. Your patient and Rx data will be preserved.
Check that you have enough free memory to successfully install the files. If installing an update to a current installation the newer files will overwrite the older files. You will need at least 1Mb of free memory at the end of your hot sync process to guarantee the successful installation of all files. If you are adding a module to your current installation, the file size to the right of the link tells you how much free memory you will need to install the additional module if you already have the prescription writer module installed.
Please do not attempt to install BluefishRx to an external card. At this time BluefishRx must be installed on the handhelds internal memory.
Using PalmOne's Addit To Install or Update BluefishRx
Updating via Addit is the fastest and easiest way to install your regular BluefishRx
updates. Addit currently supports Windows PC's only. If you have a MAC and a
wirelessly enabled handheld you can use Addit wirelessly. Addit comes installed
on the Palm LifeDrive, T5 and Tx. To install Addit, tap on the link below. Launch
BluefishRx on your handheld and tap close to the top of the screen to access
the drop down menus. Tap 'Help' and 'Renewals and Upgrades'. Tap the link to
update BluefishRx and select the applicable update. The 'ICD-9 &CPT' and
'Charge Capture' options contain all files for all modules.

(Trial or Upgrade) For Users Installing Via Windows PC
Tap on the desired link below to begin the download process. Save the file to
your PC's desktop and then launch the file by double clicking on the file icon.
Follow the installers on screen instructions.
New features have been added to BluefishRx that use Palm's Addit software infrastructure. This software will among other things greatly simplify the updating process of your software and improve the way we communicate program enhancements to you. To install Addit click on the link below. Download the installer and run it on your desktop. To install BluefishRx via Addit, launch Addit on your handheld and tap the 'Try and Buy Software' link. Tap the Healthcare link and then select BluefishRx. Tap the 'Try' button and on your next hot sync BluefishRx will be installed or updated. To use Addit to update your current installation go to the 'Help' menu on the BluefishRx home page (on your handheld) and tap on 'Renewals and Upgrades.'

and Installation Problems
In 99% of cases where users have a problem after installing or updating their
application, insufficient memory on the handheld is the cause. You should
have at least 1Mb of free memory on your handheld before updating BluefishRx.
After you have installed BluefishRx or updated it on your handheld check your
free memory. Again if you don't have at least 1Mb of free memory it is likely
that all the required application files have not been installed during hot
sync. There is no warning of an insufficient memory condition.
If you have an older Windows version you may not be able to install a large number of files in a single hot sync operation. If you are having installation problems and you have plenty of free memory try downloading the ZIP file in the Apple MAC section below. Install 10 files per hot sync until all files have been installed.
If after the installation you have a fatal alert when using BluefishRx it is almost certain that you have run out of memory while installing the update or that all the update files were not installed correctly. Check that you have at least 1Mb of memory on your handheld after the upgrade installation has finished. You may need to remove some other applications to make room. Once you have adequate free memory hot sync again and the remaining files will be installed or try installing the update again. We strongly recommend using Palm's Addit application to install BluefishRx. Addit has a sophisticated file installation engine that will avoid most problems.
Patient
Demographic Data Import Tool
Download our free Windows based patient import tool from the following link.
This tool allows you to import patient data from your desktop. You will need
to be able to export your patient demographic data from you patient management
system in order to use this tool. Instructions and a sample database are included.
This tool is for Windows PC's only.
If you are unable to export your software from your current patient management system we can provide software that will import the data directly from your system. Prices for this software start at $99 depending on the system.
Doctor
and Pharmacy Data Import Tool
Download our free Windows based Doctor and Pharmacy import tool from the following
link. Sample CSV files are included that can be opened by Microsoft Excel.
Always save the files as CSV files. Use these files to input your Doctor and
Pharmacy information and then drag the file onto the conversion tool. This
will generate the import Palm databases. Hot sync these databases to your
handheld. This tool is for Windows PC's only.
